Rebecca Soteros is best known for being the former girlfriend of actor Paul Walker and the mother of his daughter Meadow Walker. Soteros and Walker’s relationship goes back to their childhood, and they share a long history together.
Early Life and Relationship with Paul Walker
Rebecca Soteros’ early life remains largely private. What is known is that she and Paul Walker were childhood sweethearts. Their relationship continued on and off for some time, and in 1998, they welcomed their daughter Meadow Walker.
Shortly after Meadow’s birth, Soteros and Walker separated. Soteros then made the decision to raise Meadow in Hawaii. Meadow lived with her mother in Hawaii until she was 13 years old. At that point, Meadow moved to California to live with her father.
Co-Parenting and Prioritizing Meadow’s Privacy
Despite their separation, Rebecca Soteros and Paul Walker were able to maintain a positive co-parenting relationship. Walker’s family considered Soteros to be a close part of the family. Walker’s mother even said that Soteros “became a very big part of our family”.
Soteros’ decision to move to Hawaii with Meadow stemmed from a desire to protect her daughter from the intense spotlight that often surrounds celebrity children. Walker reportedly struggled with this decision at times, wanting to be as involved in his daughter’s life as possible. Nevertheless, they were able to find a way to co-parent Meadow that worked for both of them.
Life After Walker’s Death
In November 2013, Paul Walker was tragically killed in a car accident. Since that time, Rebecca Soteros has chosen to live a very private life. She has remained out of the public eye and continues to prioritize her privacy.
